He has pretty much over charged us for everything and then been invisible.
When we moved to town, we had some experience with Allstate and had found them to be trustworthy and fair with pricing. Bruce was a local agent, and we gave his office a try, knowing that we could always go somewhere else if needed. The first time at the office, we actually met Bruce, the agent. He was personable, and welcomed us. We felt good about our decision. Over the years, we felt everything was okay, and if we had an accident or any questions, we could call and talk to him. Things have changed over the years (16) and now he doesn’t take his own calls, if you ask to speak to him, you won’t be able to. I’ve been to the office several times of the past few years, and he’s never there, I always have to talk to someone at the office who acts like they are new, and not knowledgeable about our account, or insurance for that matter. I have needed simple things over the past couple of years (a form, a copy of our coverage), and have had people in the office treat me badly. Like I was asking for the moon, and was stupid to do so. I feel like the efficiency in the office has deteriorated and that know one cares. All this does nothing to restore my trust or goodwill. And our rates keep going up (accidents or no accidents, they keep going up). I’ve called a few times to talk about that, and then they will suddenly remember” some discount that we are due (like a good student driver discount for my daughter), and we go away. Finally, last year we got an opportunity through my husband’s company to explore other car and homeowner insurance policies with other carriers and could not believe the difference in prices for a better policy with better coverage than we have had with Bruce. So we have switched agents, and said goodbye all the uncertainty that was surrounding this agent. And when I told the “girl” at the agency that we were switching? She didn’t even ask why. They know why, they don’t care, and that makes me angry as well. “
