My husband and I have an older vehicle. It’s a 1996 Acura Vigor, we just wanted to be covered with liability and we were in the process of purchasing our first home. We were not really familiar with mortgage or homeowners insurance. I was also pregnant with my first baby, and we wanted to be able to save money. We called State Farm for a quote, and we were able to get a really good price for bundling our homeowners insurance and car insurance. All of the other insurance agencies were six hundred to one thousand dollars a year for the homeowner’s insurance. Our loan officer suggested we keep the insuance under five hundred dollars a year so that it would not affect the monthly mortage payment. With State Farm we were able to get our homeowner’s insurance for four hundred and fifty dollars a year, which helped us keep a lower monthly mortgage payment. Mary was a great agent, she explained everything we needed to know. I went and signed on the policy one second morning while my husband was working. Mary was the only one in the office and she came a little earlier that day to accommodate my schedule. I really appreciated it. We got our new policy in August 2015 and have had it since then. We were able to use the free road side assitance available at any time when we needed our battery charged. This was very helpful because we didn’t have any cables to restart our battery. We are satisfied with our insurance and I doubt we will change it anytime soon.
