After our original agent retired and sold his agency we went looking for a new agent. We were talking to our neighbor about insurance and she recommended her agent, which she and her husband used along with her siblings. My wife made an appointment to go see the new agent. We went in and told her what we were looking for. She took our current policies and gave us a quote that was cheaper while giving us increased coverage. Until our old agency (under new ownership) that continually pushed investment instruments on us, this new agent didn’t. She mentioned that did offer such things but never touched on it again. When we replaced 2 vehicles we made one call and she quickly had our coverage adjusted. After a home renovation we called to get our home re-insured to make sure it was adequately covered; she got back to us quickly with several options that worked for us. The agent is friendly, as are her staff.
We’ve been with her for 7 years now and have had no issues. They offer flexible billing and one year coverage, whereas our old agent had 6 month plans only. We get no junk email from them, just items having to do with our coverage.
In our time with her we’ve made 1 claim, which was due to an auto incident while we were out of the US. Their claims agent got to us quickly and explained what we needed to do and what he would do. This wasn’t too long ago and it’s still in the process of being resolved, but we’re happy that we didn’t have to do a ton of legwork to get this out of our hair.
I’d be happy to recommend Pamela and the Erie staff to anyone in my town.
