He has always looked for the best prices for me, and told me about things I should have covered. Since he does not work for a single carrier he was able to shop around to find me the best price. As I have said earlier, he handles himself in a very professional manner and i feel that he truly does more work than your average agent.
However, now that my policy has been set up I have not had as much contact with him. I have never had a a bad accident which has required me to contact my insurance company so I haven’t had a need to contact him. I actually prefer the silence as I don’t feel that he is constantly trying to get in touch with me.
Overall H.D. Segur has a very good reputation in Connecticut, and I believe the partners of the company are knowledgeable and teach their employees to put customer service above everything else. I have known people who have worked in that office, and they have nothing but great things to say about it. I also have heard their brokerage is one of the most profitable independent brokerages in the state.
