We've had some trouble with claims.
A few years ago, we had roof damage due to weather. We filed a claim, but it was a real hassle to get any help with repair, though it was covered by our insurance policy. We also had to pay a rather high deductible. We were also told that we could only get part of the damage for this problem fixed, and the insurance agent tried to tell us it was because the damage was ongoing” (it wasn’t) rather than a one-time thing. We ended up just paying for repair ourselves because the amount they were willing to give us was LESS than the deductible, and it just wasn’t worth the hassle. The premiums are also very high. We’re currently trying to find a better insurance agent and company to go with.
