1. My husband and I actually met this insurance agent as a result of conducting a mystery shop on him. We had been thinking about switching to a lower priced company when we took the mystery shop. We liked what he had to say and his rates were lower than what we currently had at the time. The only thing we did not like was the fact that his office was on the second story of an office building and there was no elevator. Because the agent was personable, took time to explain everything and gave us several discounts such as homeowner and multi-car discounts, we signed up that day. While we usually don’t sign up that quickly, the thought of having to climb those stairs again compelled us to buy the policy that day. If we have any questions, we just call him instead of going in to see him. Unfortunately, insurance companies are notorious for incrementally raising their rates, so the rates steadily rose. Then my husband had a not-at-fault accident but Allstate paid out medical benefits, so our rates went up. It’s probably time to look for a new agent. I would always rather buy locally” so would never just buy insurance online.
