Since there was a big fire in out town roughly four years ago State Farm has felt it necessary to keep raising our rates repeatedly. We have gone in multiple times to talk to them about this – however they insist we are now in a high risk area. (One big fire in the past 75 years apparently means big risk.) Here is the kicker – it wasn’t our fire. We weren’t hurt by it. We made no claims. In fact no one who made a claim from this fire was covered by State Farm. Most of the people were actually uninsured but our insurance company made sure that they raised our rates anyway. We have never made a claim against this insurance company – and they reward us by raising our rates due to other peoples accidents.
