I chose this insurance agent because I was new to the area and not familiar with insurance options here. He is an independent agent that was able to research multiple auto and homeowners insurance companies to find the best one for my needs. I wanted to meet with him in his office to personally get to know my insurance agent. He operates a single-person office with no support staff (no office assistant, etc). I waited a while for him to get off of his phone and then explained my insurance needs to him. He said he would research options for me and did find both car and home insurance for me. I was a little surprised and did not think it quite professional when he said he would only handle my small home insurance if I also bought car insurance from him. When my policy came due the following year, I also was a little disappointed that he seemed defensive when I asked him to find more reasonable rates to match what I had found online. However, he did find better insurance rates for me and I am still his client.
