1. I’ve had my home insurance with Liberty Mutual for as long as I’ve owned my home, and Steve Kulik has been my agent the whole time. As a first-time home owner, I had a lot of questions about how home insurance worked and what sort of coverage was right for me and that sort of thing, and Steve was very helpful and patient in answering my questions. He made me feel comfortable right out of the gate, which I really appreciated. I ended up being happy enough with him and with Liberty Mutual’s coverage that I ended up transferring my auto insurance over to him as well.

   More often than not, when I have a question for Steve I’ll have to leave a message with him and wait a day or so for him to call me back. There’s been at least one instance where I didn’t hear from him until the next day – I guess that’s probably pretty typical for a busy insurance agent.

   In my roughly seven years with Steve as my agent, I’ve filed two claims – one for my auto insurance and one for my home insurance. Both times, I called Steve for advice on how to handle the respective situations, and both times I kind of felt like he was trying to talk me out of making a claim, even though in both instances I feel like making a claim was clearly the smart thing to do. I don’t really hold this against him because I’d imagine that most agents probably do this, since it benefits their company most if no one files claims.

   All in all, I’d definitely recommend Steve if you’re in the market for home and/or auto insurance.
