I went with Allstate because they were the cheapest car insurance I could find at the time. I did not like the fact that they called me repeatedly to sell me homeowners insurance, even though I made it clear I was not interested. I received quite a few calls, about 2 or 3 per week. I also requested to go paperless and I received multiple statements and advertisements by mail at least once or twice per week. At one point I was owed a refund, and one of the employees there told me they could not issue the refund until they had my signature. I had to drive all the way there, just to find out that the refund had already been processed and they did not in fact need my signature.
