I was given a fair quote from this agent for homeowners insurance and decided to go with her agency. A couple weeks before I went to close on my home, my lender informed me that the cost for my homeowners policy was doubled from my previous quote. This agent made no attempt to contact me about this. She submitted the information to my lender without informing me in any way. I was absolutely disgusted. Her reasoning was that after my credit report was pulled the policy had to nearly double. Well, my credit pulled by my lender is a 780. How can a 780 credit score possibly double the price of a homeowners policy? The fact that she made no attempt to contact me about this price increase is simply unacceptable. She simply submitted the new policy quote to my lender so that I would pay it.
