Signed up for Auto Insurance Jan 4, got a quote from Mike Hall’s office (via Chris Williams), accepted the quote, even paid in full the 6 month premium, and cancelled my other insurance carrier. 5 days later I get bill for more money due, stating my premium is actually higher than Chris quoted (and which I already paid). Upon contacting Chris Williams for an explanation, he indicated a hit on my DMV record from months ago, didn’t show up when he quoted me the lower price. They don’t know why it didn’t show up when they quoted my price. They insist they can’t do anything about it. I feel like this was a bait and switch scam to get me to switch companies at a lower price only to have the price immediately hiked due to some glitch on their side. Very dissatisfied customer.

2. We’ve had few claims on personal vehicles like a broken or chipped windshields. We have had several claims on business vehicles typically for damage caused by an employee driving or due to hitting a deer or elk. They all have all been handled well – no opposition or misinformation, repairs made in a timely manner. We have been through a move with a new property that needed repairs to become insured such as a new roof. There was a little hassle with that process that took a couple weeks to iron out as they had to look at the property and it was rural so it took them awhile to go evaluate it and take pictures. We have spoken about our overall insurance needs and he keeps in touch via email regularly but not to the point where it’s invasive. Overall it’s been a good relationship for 20 years.
