I was very fond of the insurance agency and the agent in particular, but being transferred to their high-risk underwriter ultimately cost them my business. I was with the agent for a number of years, but had a lapse in coverage when I stopped driving for a period of time. The lapse in insurance forced me to use Victoria for six months, and I had a scratch and dent accident during that time which insured that I would not be eligible for regular Nationwide insurance. I never had any trouble getting help from my agent and his service was wonderful, but dealing with Nationwide’s Victoria branch was not a pleasant experience. Anytime I dealt with Mr Pennington in particular and not a 1-800 number, he always made sure that things were correct or fixed them if they weren’t. In general, I would recommend them highly if you aren’t in a high-risk pool, and always try to talk to Scott personally.
