1. We moved from another state. Our agent in that state gave us a list of agents in the area here that we could continue our policy through. They all had differing levels of experience; I chose Steve because he was the most experienced. He is friendly and responsive. He knows the products well and is patient and good at explaining things. I have only met him in person once, but he is a nice guy and very approachable. He told us about a certain add-on we should have for a homeowner’s insurance that I probably wouldn’t have gotten if he hadn’t told me that it is actually a concern for people in our area, i.e. it was like he was watching our back”. I thought that was nice, and the add-on was very inexpensive as well. It was nice that they could combine our homeowner’s and auto because that made our auto cheaper, but that is saying more about American Family than about Steve. I think what I like the best about him is that when I call or email him, he gets back right away. When I had a question about our premium one month, he was able to quickly identify the cause for the discrepancy and called me back and explained it to me. That really impressed me, as most customer service people don’t get back to you at all, much less are able to actually explain something to you. I would definitely recommend Steve to family and friends. “
