1. Ever since the first time I walked through the door of my local State Farm office, I have been pleased with this insurance company. I get lost when I try to decide on things like insurance plans. The Richard Morris office helped me through the process without making me feel pressured. I started out with just auto insurance, and later added life insurance. The staff is great about anticipating my needs and the needs of my family. They are great about offering what is relevant to me without pushing coverage that I’m not interested in. Processes that typically make me feel overwhelmed are made easier by the staff at the Richard Morris office. As a mother of young children, it isn’t always easy for me to sit down by myself for the length of time needed to update policies and such. The Richard Morris office has always gone above and beyond to assist me in every way. They’ve met me in the parking lot to pick up paper work so I wouldn’t have to bring in my sick child; they’ve emailed paperwork to me so I wouldn’t have to drive out to pick it up; and they’ve managed to help keep my children occupied when I did need to bring them inside. I appreciate that there is a variety of ways for me to contact the staff at this office, and that everyone is helpful regardless of my reason for calling. The staff at the Richard Morris office truly make me feel like I’m valued, and that I’m not just a number.

2. I got state farm because it was one of the few places that would insure my mobile home. And I then proceeded to bundle with my car insurance, at first saving me lots of money. Then they jacked up my rates every car renewal. I have excellent credit in the 740 range, own a home and am 35 and married with children. The ideal person to insure. Finally last month when my renewal came due State Farm was 56 dollars more expensive. In the end I will be going with the other quote at least for my car insurance. I also do not like how they always try to sell me something when I have to call for something. I purchased roadside assistance with my policy, that was a joke the one time I tried to use it. It took me thirty minutes on the phone talking with State Farm, and still no one was on their way. It took so long my phone went dead. I did use them for a collision claim one time, that did go smoothly, I had no trouble with that. All in all I wasn’t impressed.
