1. I’ve purchased my auto and homeowners insurance from Rex Olson for almost 8 years now. I chose him mainly because I knew him personally – he grew up in my parents neighborhood and I knew and liked him. He seemed like a smart, honest, hard-working guy and gave me good advice on my own career. He is very friendly and easy to get along with.

   I’ve been generally satisfied with the insurance I have from him – I do price comparisons from time to time and haven’t found other providers substantially cheaper. In fact, my loan officer was surprised at how cheap the homeowners insurance was – most others quoted me at least 30 percent more. Auto insurance might be slightly cheaper at other places, but not enough to make up for the difference in homeowners insurance or personal service I get.

   He was really helpful when I bought my first house – there was a lot of paperwork involved in getting my insurance setup correctly for the loan, and his help was really useful – it was one less thing to worry about during a difficult and stressful period.

   I don’t feel like I was sold anything I didn’t need or pressured into other products, which is really nice. Purchasing, renewing, and making changes to insurance has always been easy and quick.

   I haven’t had to file any claims with the insurance he sold me, so I don’t have any feedback in this area, but times I’ve called his office to get more information or have information sent to another party (such as my lender), they have always responded quickly.

   If asked, I would definitely recommend Rex to others for insurance.
