I sought out renters insurance from State Farm because my parents always had insurance with them so I felt like they were a reliable company. When we first walked in, we were greeted kindly and offered a beverage and cookies. We sat down with our agent and we explained right off the bat that my boyfriend and I were new when it came to renting and we would appreciate it if she could break down all the steps. She was not very explicit, but she gave us the basic coverage. She was open to questions, but we did feel a little rushed. As if maybe our insurance was not as important and she wanted to rush us out to accept another type of client. Regardless, we did have a bit of a mix up with our insurance contract. My boyfriend’s name was not on the contract as well, even though we specified that we wanted both of ours. That was easily resolved over email. Payments are done online and they are super easy. As for the actual insurance, we haven’t had the chance to actually use it. Thankfully. Overall, the agent seemed kind and was informative.
