My experience with State Farm for renters insurance has been good so far. It’s a bit tough to evaluate them from a claims standpoint since I haven’t submitted any, but the customer service I received from everyone at the office was great. They let me stop in the office to review the policy and make sure everything looked correct. Most of the other companies I spoke with weren’t as friendly and acted really pushy, which is offputting. I paid for the insurance in full for a year, so I can’t speak for the billing aspect, but they did have convenient options for paying monthly, quarterly, etc. It ended up being a couple bucks a month cheaper to write a check in full, so that’s what I did. Hopefully, I don’t have to make a claim, but if I do, I think I’d be in good hands from what I’ve seen from this team so far.
